Reebok Pump Omni Artist Collection
Reebok worked with some artists on the classic Pump Omni. This first set of three Pump Omni’s seems to have been designed by artist Kanae. He presents three striped designs on the upper, in black/white, blue/white and beige/white. All three come with a fur lining in white and matching white soles. Man these are straight bananzas!

Polygon-Playground.
The "Polygon Playground" offers room for up to 40 persons at a time to walk, sit and explore its multifaceted surfaces. Gradient ramps guide to the top plateau or offer space to sit and rest. The installation features a software aided 3D surface projection system to cover the object with a seamless 360 degree projection mapping. An additional sensory system detects peoples positions and proximity.
The visual appearance of the "Polygon Playground" changes continously with the presence, movements and touches of its visitors. The object detects the positions and directions of people and reacts with evolving visual moods and graphic styles.
The hardware and software system of the "Polygon Playground" can be applied to virtually any 3D body to turn it into an interactive object.

Master P starts Better Black TV

Entrepreneur P. Miller today confirmed the launch of Better Black Television, a family-oriented cable network set to debut in 2009.
Dubbed BBTV, the network promises to cover the diverse experience of African-American culture by offering a myriad of genres: politics, movies, teen and children’s educational programming, animation, sports, and news.
In response to the criticism leveled at BET’s music video choices, the network has guaranteed to deliver “responsible Hip-Hop music and videos.”
P. Miller will oversee the channel as its chairman and CEO.
The advisory board team includes Oscar winner Denzel Washington, NAACP executive director Vicangelo Bullock, Hip-Hop founder Kool Herc, cable industry veteran Professor Sal Martino, and real estate mogul Curtis Oakes.
While seen as a risky business endeavor, Miller states he’s planned this venture for several years and feels he has gathered a strong team to uphold his vision.
“I believe that there is a market in our community for a new diverse network,” he explains. “(A network) that provides superior programming that caters to all aspects of television, from reality to original programming. We believe TV content can be positive and responsible and still have good ratings with great content.”
Aware that his network will be seen as a direct challenge to Viacom and its BET and MTV brands, Miller remained diplomatic on his competition.
“I have a great relationship with BET and MTV and will continue to work with them and support their networks,” he states.
Miller also had kind words for controversial BET founder Bob Johnson, who he credits as a mentor to his cable network plans.
“I remember him telling me back in the day that if you wanted to know real estate, you’ve got to hang out with real estate investors,” Miller explicates. “If you wanted to know sports, you’ve got to hang out with athletes. I wanted to know TV, so I hung out with Bob and learned the TV game from one of the best in the business.”
BBTV’s news programs have begun airing in Florida, Louisiana, California, and New York.
At press time, the network is purchasing local cable channel affiliates in preparation for its 2009 debut.

R.I.P. Isaac Hayes and Bernie Mac
this is crazy it seems like alot of people are dying right now with Bernie Mac AND Isaac Hayes this is insane.

Isaac Hayes, the great Memphis singer/composer who helped make Stax-Volt a major record company in the '60s and '70s and whose extended oeuvres of soul and r & b hits made himself a household name for the last several decades., was pronounced dead Sunday at Baptist Memorial Hospital East.
The singer was reportedly found unconscious in his Memphis home sometime after noon Sunday by his wife, who immediately called for medical assistance.
The 65-year-old Hayes, who had been in declining health for some time, had nevertheless continued to be an active presence not only musically but in assorted civic activities.
Along with co-composer David Porter, Hayes was the creative eminence behind many of Stax-Volt's early hits, and Hayes became a successful singer in his own right with such albums as Hot Buttered Soul (1969) and Black Moses (1971) . He also scored several films, including Shaft, for which he won an Academy Award. He would accumulate three Grammy awards during his career and was a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Hayes also involved himself in a number of social causes, becoming prominent in the Scientology movement. Like numerous other musical artists, he went in and out of difficult economic phases during the course of his career, but never quite retired and could still electrify audiences in his increasingly rare public appearances.
Among those remembering Hayes was 9th District congressman Steve Cohen , on behalf of whose reelection campaign Hayes had recently appeared in a series of well-seen ads.
"Isaac Hayes was our emissary to the world for over four decades," Cohen said. "His music and his love of his fellow man transcended all racial boundaries. His contributions to this city and its culture were many, and his friends were even more numerous. I was fortunate enough to have him as my friend, and I was blessed to have his support in my most recent election.
"His music, his talent, and his spirit will live on. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife Adjowa and his entire family. He was a soul man and a great man, and like Moses, there will never be another."
